this is a video about a bunch of strangers i think
Gus Johnson plays all sorts of characters, from Mitchell Robbins to JK Rowling to some guy in God's Country to Imbiamba Jombes to filming videos with his mom to pillow guy to the my pool guy to the Gus & Eddy Podcast to small town reviews to shotguns in movies to the tough kid growing up to your friend who has a knife to spotify ad guy to... I don't know why I am writing this in third person. I am Gus. I wrote this. Also subscribe to the Gus & Eddy Podcast please. Eddy Burback and I make it and it's ok. My brother is Sven Johnson, that guy's alright.
Thanks for watching and sharing! Don't stab people. I'll see you later.

  • hi guys thank you for helping us write a sketch. i promise i will write one of my own and release it here in a few days. i also promise to eat more spinnich (spelling?)

    • @NateWhisper Spianaichianchiahtnecterecthinchanichanichaniaaancishacinhnichasinchsainpianpainspinchnecterpinh*

    • Spinach*

    • Spianaichianchiahtnecterecthinchanichanichaniaaancishacinhnichasinchsainpianpainspinchnecterpinh*

    • You are fuckin hilarious obvi Spinach

    • Sponge

  • Frickin love it 🙈🙉🙊

  • corned beef is NOT corn. corned beef is beef and salt "corns" (rocks) that they use to salt it

  • that "this quiznos is unusually wet" is exactly like the wet toast sketch in misfitz

  • corned beef is named after “kernels” of rock salt on the meat itself.

  • The save at the end was amazing 😂

  • "Corn is a class 5 narcotic" instead of 'corn is a schedule 4 narcotic' lmfao. But, when someone has never used drugs or learned about drugs, I really don't expect them to even know what schedule 4 or schedule 3 or schedule 2 is. Class 5 would be like misdemeanor or felony, class 3, or class 2 or class 1. But it was still a super funny sketch 😄😆🤣😂😅😐.

  • Please do more of these. Maybe have time stamps so we can watch the scene first so we don't have spoilers by seeing the creative process

  • PLEASE SHAVE!

  • the end result feels like a 2009 onision sketch

  • Gus you are an absolute GEM. Never stop doing what you do.

  • .

  • Thanks for nothing Gus, I stayed up late learning how to make corned beef 'cause of you.

  • Enjoyed this

  • I feel like the pew pew pew could’ve been a great chance for secret agent Sven to pull his gun on this corn-toting hooligan

  • No corn in corn beefe

  • I wish Gus was my brother, than I could start my own YT channel making the same content and be instantly successful for no reason other than the fact that my brother was successful first and than I just ride his coattails down the yt trail. There’s a sketch for ya.

  • Oscar Nominee

  • As a canadian, Gus saying residential home had a whole different meaning to me for a second

  • You messed up a line. Class 4 not class 5.

  • This is just how Casey Frey writes

  • He looks like he is going to pet some Big Cats

  • Monkey could have been throwing sand...

  • How do I spell shen pls

  • 6:21 sounds like Justin Roiland

  • You should’ve kept the sand line but while he’s saying it just have the camera on the other guy and then after he says it have a long pause and then just flip the camera and see a png of anakin skywalker Edit: or just him like holding a carboard cutout of anakin

  • But I wanna see the sand

  • "ARE YOU FRICKING INTURRUPTING ME RIGHT NOW... anyways moving on" man radiats Gemini energy in this video

  • Wait... DON'T stab people??? 😬

  • This is actually great

  • If anybody's actually caring, it's peppercorn. it's beef with peppercorns. (pepper-) corned beef.

  • That actually came out so good I fuckin love it. Absolutely hilarious how much you guys can do with even such an absurd assortment of lines

  • So much for that sand

  • Sometimes Gus is not funny

  • It took me a bit to figure out the they swapped out the Rick Roll with a royalty free track cause *copyright*

  • 7:54 that was frightening

  • oof

  • 2.99 Mil cmon were 3 mil

    • If I spam unsubscribe and subscribe can I glitch the system

  • New video idea:When your parents sing karaoke

  • this is how It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is written

  • If your name is Gus Johnson than your father's name is Jhon Gusfather

  • ischats.info/fun/mZSqkKJ0f5qEnG8/v-deo

  • I really enjoyed this ❤️

  • Watching this made me think of something. What if yall created short scripts with no characters nothing . And us small creators can use them send in our videos . Idk

  • Hi

  • I just wanted to say that I miss Imbiamba. That's all.

  • why does Gus look like a knock off Joe exotic

  • ok idk why im here but yea im ginna say to a few videos its justin baby 11 birthday

  • I DONT KNOW WHAT CORNED BEEF IS EITHER, ITS EVEN MY INSTAGRAM BIO, WHY DOESNT ANYONE KNOW?!?!?!!

  • 0:7 omg Sven is a neo nazi

  • Stranger: “I think I forgot my ham and cheese sandwich at the gas station” Gus: “Oh this is heatin up!”

  • I'm disappointed I was not rickrolled

  • How do I get a fucking tampon commercial I watching this

  • As a mother, how do you go from naming a kid "Gus" to naming a kid "Sven"

    • They're from a similar linguistic root. They also have one called "Thor" lol.

  • Stereo be payin out them ad dollars lately

  • Pretty sure it's peppercorns, bro

  • seems like it was made by Ai lol

  • I threw up in my mouth a little, oh and also this is a good video

  • Blessed family. Hot dang, your family get togethers must be great

  • Ring back imbiamba jhones

  • so this is basically a boujee version of mad libs

  • Have you thought of doing sketches with cer spense?

  • You and Trey Kennedy should do a sketch together.

  • A masterpiece of cinema.

  • Sven was in Tears For Fears in the eighties, right??

  • Swear to god, me and my friend had a conversation exactly like this last time we got high.

  • Kinda sounds like a ScottTheWoz sketch

  • corned beef is referring to peppercorns

    • Except it isn't

  • DO MORE OF THESE

  • tuna and sweetcorn is a sandwich filling

  • That was some of the best stuff I have seen👍

  • Hey gus, are you in Molchat Doma?

  • You should make more videos like this one it was hilarious

  • This has nothing to do with the video but I just wanted to say that you are great person that is very musically and comically talented and I love getting to watch your interactions between you and your friends and you family and your also very confident and also from what I can gather you try to help people when ever you can and you are the type of man I strive to be. So yea just wanted to send my love on your most recent video at the time and I hope that you get the chance to read this(also sorry for saying and so much I'm bad at grammer)

  • YOU LOOK LIKE CRAIG ENGELS

  • Should’ve had the sand in the sandwich

  • The sketch is legitimately awful, which is exactly why it's amazing.

  • My dad worked for gold'n plump for many years!!

  • yes

  • Trying it out again, to see if maybe a fresh set of eyes would help. But no. The skit is horrendous. Even with Gus and Sven acting it and adding in their context to make it try to fit, it sounds like the most jankily disconnected dialogue that it just does not flow well at all. Add to that that the jokes are all fairly middle of the road that even when the skit does elicit a chuckle it's quashed fairly quickly. Even if you like the video as a whole adverse to just the skit, I don't see why so many people are acting like the skit itself is "proof of Gus and Sven's comedic genius". Even taken as an exaggeration like it's most likely meant to be taken as, imo the skit is so bad in a general sense that this sort of reaction really leads into this idea that Gus and Sven could literally do anything at all for their skits and these people would think it's genius. And it infinitely bothers me that they kept the first two lines in for the lols. They kept in the Rick Roll sound effect. They kept in the monkey sounds. But the line was drawn in the sand with the ...line of sand, and that had to get mulliganed. Lines (not so much one, but definitely 2) were okay to keep, that wasn't too much a hiccup. Oh a Ruck Roll? Eh, sure we'll do it. Monkey ooh ooh, definitely sliding that one into my dms. None of that was too random or too disjointed enough to be mulliganed. But sand, not a single thing could come to mind. You give it a millisecond before instantly burying that line like it was never mentioned and trying to justify it by saying at this point it would be too hard to fit in in in a cohesive way. You know, because the previous lines were SOOO cohesive, you know, because fitting a line about sand cohesively into the end would have been SOO much harder than the Rick Roll or the monkey thing. It bothers me. I don't get the logic. They went almost the entire thing accepting everything, and I thought a number of those submissions were dumb, but I accepted it because they were accepting everything. It's a challenge, gotta see what we can make with what we get. But then they shot that in the foot by mulliganing the sand line. Once they set the precedent that any line could have been mulliganed it became less understandable that they kept some of those previous lines in, especially when related to them giving up on the sand line. Like, I honestly feel like I'm losing my mind over this. Christ they need to make up a new smear word for people like me if one doesn't already exist, I feel so god damn sweaty over here, but I can't stop having this reaction, I would like to stop thinking about this please. And then you've got the reactions from people. There is a such a heavy lean toward people liking this, but more than that people acting like it's god tier comedy. I mentioned it in a comment, but I think the fact that the creation side of the skit being the majority of the video makes the experience better. It suits up your expectations, tells you the rules and the context for everything so by the time the skit starts you had 10-12? minutes of prep time to temper your expectations. Plus since you already had your first reaction to the content as they were receiving it, when the skit came around you'd already had your initial thoughts, so your opinion on the skit itself is altered. Like, if this was just posted as the skit, no context, no anything, just the skit, then they wouldn't be so excited about it. It would have drawn so much more attention to how the lines really only connect in the thinnest possible ways, and just really isn't that funny, especially considering the quality I tend to levy toward Gus and Sven. Anyway, rant over, but I can't promise I won't be back. I got laid off and have a lot of free time, soooooo, I'm losing my mind.

    • @Madison Phillips Positivity is nice, but when EVERYONE is so endlessly positive then everyone assumes the format is fine as is and it will never be allowed to be better. It wasn't perfect, it wasn't great, it was far from it. The build up, the journey toward making the sketch, that was okay. Gus and Sven are funny, even if their midwest faux positivity thing is kind of getting sickly sweet to my palate. It could be better. I think Gus and Sven need more control to be able to flex their own creativity more. As it is now their only involvement is acting it out, and creating some minor context behind the lines to fit it in. But I don't think they added all that much to the ultimate product. It was almost exclusively just them reading the lines. I want them to have a little more control over it, like being able to order the lines around how they want. I think that'd make it better, but where it'd still be a challenge (in this case there'd be absolutely no mulligans). Anyway. I'm horrible at having short thoughts. I just think this could be a lot better, and seeing everyone drown themselves in the shallow end of the pool to call out add nauseum that this was absolute perfection got under my skin. It bothered me, because, either everyone here genuinely will accept ANYTHING Gus and Sven put out and call it perfect, or everyone is so afraid of putting out any level of something that could be construed as not positive that they feel like the 120% positive is the only way they can talk. Not sure what it being free has to do with anything. It being free doesn't absolve it from criticism.

    • Bro what?? Long ass essay and for what? Obviously this isn’t going to be the best skit they’ve ever done, seeing as the lines were almost completely random. They did a great job for what they were given, and even if you don’t think they did great- SO WHAT?! This is free content for us to watch.

  • Gus needs to hit 3 mil

  • HEY GUS DID U APPEARED IN COCO OF PEWDIPIE?

  • By how Gus said "anyway", I expected him to say "here is wonderwall"

  • I GENUINELY think that if you uploaded the sketch on its own not many people would be able to tell it had randomized phrases

    • I think it would be even more apparent. This way you see the setup and you're prepared for it to be inherently random not quite fit well. Without that context, the replies they give each other would seem so disconnected that it'd be jarring, so that even if they couldn't pinpoint what felt off about it at first they'd still feel like it was off. That's my opinion anyway. I massively think that this only works for people in majority because of the lead up of the creation of the skit going into the skit itself. You gotta look at these lines closer if you think those sound even remotely natural.

  • Been spending most our lives Livin in a Midwest paradise

  • for the sand line, you could have had the channel change and have it be a desert and then the line is said.

  • This was the best outro I have ever seen.

  • You guys just put Saving Private Ryan to shame. Spielberg is shaking in his boots

  • 13:21 Thank me later

  • These lines are dumb as shit. They really couldn't think of anything better to say? That said the Johnsons did well. But God people are dumb

  • The future is here.

  • Corn beef is the corns flesh Corn is NOT vegan

  • I wish they stuck with the original end but I still liked it a lot

  • Why does he have a hat that says "Gold'n Plump"

  • Idk what happened in the sketch ngl

  • Yo. That tv 📺 iz super sharp. Lol
